The Coolest Furniture on the Planet!

 Phillip Starck's Navy Arm Barstool

A Timeless Chair, admired today and indefinitely!

Designed in 1944, the Navy Chair is the result of a collaboration between ALCOA scientists, Navy designers and the EMECO (Electric Machine and Equipment Co) to develop a seaworthy chair for military use.  The specially-treated aluminum alloy is rust-free, lightweight and sturdy enough to withstand a torpedo blast (or anything you can throw at it).  The 77 step process transforms rough, recycled aluminum into a fashionable treasure to last 150 years!
